Glass is 100% recyclable. It is one of the best examples of circular economy, as more than 70% of glass packaging is presently being recycled in a bottle to bottle closed loop. But there is more to be done. According to FERVER, the Circular Economy Package of the European Commission has to be seen as a means to improve the actual glass recycling rates. In a position paper, FERVER shares its views on the way the current proposal has to be improved to reach that goal.
